What you'll need:
- glue (any water-based glue that dries clear)
- cheap throw-away brush
- glass votive candle holder
- paper doily
- scissors
Step 1.
Fold a doily in half and cut it along the crease.
Step 2.
Apply a layer of glue to the votive, starting at the bottom, go all the way around and about half way up.
Step 3.
Lay one doily half over the glue, lining up the cut edge with the bottom of the votive, and press down.
Step 4.
Carefully, without tearing the paper, apply another layer of glue over the edges of the doily.
Step 5.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the other doily half on opposite side of the votive.
Step 6.
Seal in both doily halves with more glue, covering completely.
Step 7.
Light and enjoy!

What a great idea! Thanks for sharing- so cute! I bet you could even color the paper doilies if you wanted (you think?) to add some color to the mix- a nice pastel springtime feeling.
ReplyDeleteOoh, yeah! Good idea with the color. Thanks for stopping by!
